Well, as expected, Andre made the Kiwi XI for the final test against England and acquitted himself in his debut match with no litle aplomb! The 'little firecracker' (as they were describing him on Radio Four! - well we don't all have Sky) may not have bashed the ball around in quite the same fashion as he had managed in the one-day series but his bowling performances went a long way to helping the Kiwis clinch the match and a series draw. Andre finished with 18 runs and 6 wickets for 105 off 31.4 overs for the match. The wickets of a stubborn Foster and the wonderful acrobatic dismissal of England captain Nasser Hussain in successive overs effectively ended the English resistance. (Let's say nothing about the head-scratching which followed the 'Freddie' Flintoff dismissal in the first innings - they all look the same in the book, after all!). Anyway, our warmest congratulations go to Andre on a very impressive test debut of which he has every reason to take pride...
