The Club's hosting of the recent ICC Trophy match between Holland and Oman was a resounding success and was witnessed by a healthy crowd at Middle Road. The weather, thankfully, held out and allowed Tonto to prepare his usual high standard of strip and the ground looked in superb shape generally. Whilst the success of the event was very much down to a team effort with efforts made by a good number of Club members and young players, a special word of thanks must go to a number of individuals whose particular efforts were instrumental: NCU Match Manager, our own Roger Bell, Carrickfergus C.C. Match Manager, Alex Adams, Leslie Thompson and his willing volunteers for producing a resplendent Middle Road, NCU Official Match Scorer, our own Roy Parkhill, (who, incidentally, gave up the opportunity to score the Ireland match to be at Middle Road!), and our young friend Alastair from Ballymena C.C. whose dilligent electronic scoring kept the web scorecards up-to-date. Our thanks to everyone involved in the organisation and smooth running of the match on the day for their efforts.
