Carrickfergus CC 1st XI started their 2015 Pre-Season with a rain effected game away to fellow Premier League side CSNI. In a 35 over a side game CCC managed
152-7 from their allotted overs. In reply CSNI reached 60-5 in the 17th over before a heavy rain shower brought a premature end to the game. The following weekend the squad travelled to Dublin for 2 games. On the Saturday they were 64 runs too strong for Leinster, mainly thanks to Alex Haggan's unbeaten 73, helping CCC to 205-6 from 40 overs, in reply Leinster lost early wickets and at 46-5 managed to reach a respectable 141ao. Sunday saw a trip across Dublin to Rush, CCC bowled first in a 25 over game, with Rush reaching a challenging 174-6, in reply Michael Gilmour made a solid 47, only for Alex Haggan to top score again with a fine 61. The Burton Brothers in Jack and Max saw the team home to record a 4 wicket win with 4 balls to spare. With many positives to take from both weekends, all eyes now turn to 25th April and the League opener against Waringstown at CCC
