Wednesday 24th June saw Carrickfergus Grammar School and Ulidia Integrated College go against each other in the Final of the annual Miles Cup competition. Ulidia won the toss and opted to bat first, on an overcast morning, with CGS looking to make early inroads. A solid bowling display from CGS, backed up by the fielders, restricted Ulidia to 44 all out. In reply CGS got off to a shaky start losing an early wicket, but with a partnership of 30 for the 2nd wicket, they made it home with plenty of time to spare. Our thanks goes to both Carrickfergus Grammar School and Ulidia Integrated College, as well as teachers in charge, Mr Reid and Mr Gilmour, for an excellent Final.
