Robert retires after 27 years

Carrickfergus Cricket Club were delighted to welcome Robert Pezel and family to the home game v Muckamore on Friday 8th June. Robert recently retired after 27 years sterling service with the club.

Playing mainly in the 3rd XI and 4th XI Robert was a destructive batsman/wicketkeeper and was to be seen regularly dispatching opening bowlers over mid wicket to the fence.

Club Chairman Jim Nelson who played with Robert for many years commented “ It was a pleasure to welcome Robert back as our club guest. He is a true club stalwart and we hope to see him regularly back at Middle Road”.
